What you need to know today is simple:
You’re doing better than you think.

Even if today feels messy.
Even if your to-do list is mostly undone.
Even if the dream you’re chasing looks more like a biscuit-tin-and-solder kind of hope than a polished business.

That’s where we started.
That’s how Weebert’s World began, and still begins, every day. From scratch. From scrap. From belief.

🧰 Some days are easier than others

We’ve learnt, through experience, that not all days land the same.

Some are bright and full of energy. Others take a bit more patience.

Andy has good days and slower ones. But even on the tougher days, there’s something quietly powerful in getting to the shed, picking up a bit of scrap, and starting again.

Creating the Berts isn’t just business. It’s wellbeing. It helps him feel connected and purposeful. It brings order to the chaos and meaning to the mess.
It’s not just building robots. It’s building space to breathe.

And I’ve learnt too, when the pace slows, the stories keep coming. We just need to listen.

🧠 Looking after wellbeing (with tea, tools, and a chicken)

We’ve come to understand how vital it is to protect your wellbeing, especially when you’re building something big from something small.

For Andy, it’s hands-on making. For me, it’s storytelling.
And for both of us, it’s learning to pause, take the pressure off, and laugh a little.

Ginge the chicken helps. She thinks she’s a dog and follows us around the garden like she’s in charge of logistics.
She makes us stop. Look. Laugh.

Some days, that’s enough.

🧡 Family, even when they’re far

We don’t live near our family, but we feel them with us.
They’re the ones cheering us on, sharing updates, reading stories to the grandchildren, and believing in the Berts just as much as we do.

And then there’s the Berts themselves, our scrap-built family. They carry the values passed down from our own:

🤝 We’re not doing this alone

One of the most unexpected blessings on this journey has been the support from the forces and ex-forces community, people who understand what it means to serve, to start again, and to lead with purpose.

And now, as Weebert’s World takes shape, we’re hearing from industry professionals too, creatives, producers, educators — who tell us:

Hearing that doesn’t just lift us. It roots us.
