💫 Meet Tweebert — Fearless, Flying and Full of Wonder

💫 Meet Tweebert – Fearless, Flying and Full of Wonder

If Weebert is the heart of Weebert’s World, then his sister Tweebert is its wings.
Quite literally. She flies.

We first imagined Tweebert during one of those days where the stories just arrive,  uninvited but most welcome. Andy was in the workshop, deep in a tangle of scrap and wire, and I was dreaming up a character who could look at the world with wide eyes and say, “What’s out there? Let’s go see.”

That’s Tweebert.

She’s brave. She’s bold. She’s got a bright red chassis and copper wire curls that defy gravity. And yes, she once helped Santa save Christmas. But that’s another story…

🛠️ What is Tweebert made from?

One of my favourite things about introducing new Berts is telling you how Andy’s built them, because nothing in Weebert’s World is ordinary. It’s all been repurposed, reshaped, and brought back to life with love.

Here’s what Tweebert’s made of:

– Her legs and body are formed from a Helping Hands base (painted bright red, of course – adventure calls for visibility).
– Her shoes are made from vintage prisms – she really does sparkle when the light hits just right.
– Her head is a Cold War spy camera, with the top painted yellow. It matches Weebert’s – they’re siblings, after all.
– Her eyes are crafted from opera glass lenses, which give her a look of wide-eyed wonder.
– Her hair? A glorious, coppery tangle of knotted wire – like she’s just flown through a lightning storm with a grin on her face.
– On her back, there’s an old RC exhaust system, acting as her propulsion unit, complete with a small vintage propeller.
– Her arms come from repurposed opera glasses, and she holds a delicate flower made from clock parts — because kindness is her superpower.
– And on her chest, she proudly wears the letter T, taken from a vintage typewriter key.

Every piece tells a story. Every part once had another life. And that’s what makes Tweebert so magical, she’s built from imagination, memory, and a little bit of sky.

🌍 What kind of Bert is Tweebert?

Tweebert is the kind of Bert who never waits for permission to explore.
She sees the edge of the garden fence not as a boundary, but as a launchpad.
She’s the one shouting “Let’s go!” while the others are still packing snacks.

She’s brave, not because she never feels fear, but because she does it anyway.
She’s the first to help someone in trouble, the first to offer a hand (or wing), and the last to leave anyone behind.

Where Weebert sometimes wonders, Tweebert wanders.
And between the two of them, they’ve found all sorts of hidden corners and curious creatures, including one purple reindeer … again a story for another day!

💛 Why Tweebert matters

Tweebert reminds us that curiosity is powerful.
That girls can fly, build, explore, lead, and get a little muddy along the way.
That helping hands can literally help others and lift you off the ground.

She’s the Bert who makes other Berts braver.
She’s the reason the stories keep going beyond the garden gate.
And in a world that can sometimes feel a little closed off, Tweebert is that spark that says, “What if we just tried?”

If your child has ever asked to climb the big hill just to see what’s on the other side…
If you’ve ever built wings out of cardboard and dared to believe they’d work…
If you’ve ever wanted to be both kind and fearless, Tweebert is your girl.

✨ What’s next for Tweebert?

Well, she’s got her eyes on the stars.
She’s not quite sure what’s out there, but she knows she wants to find out.

And one day soon, we’ll tell you the story of how she helped Santa when his sleigh got stuck in the compost heap.
But for now, she’s here, ready to meet the world and lift a few of us with her.

Love,
Lotty …. And Tweebert of course!
