🏍 A Hogbert Christmas; The Ultimate Handmade Gift for the Engineer or Chopper Lover in Your Life
I never believed courage could be built from copper and helicopter parts.
But that’s exactly what Andy did when he created Hogbert … our chopper-riding Bert made from helicopter control levers for his body, a mahogany-inlaid thrust bearing for his rear wheel, a vintage otoscope for his brake light, copper pipe fittings for exhausts, and a wiper gearbox armature for his engine.
His Bert rider has mountain bike V-brakes for legs, French folding opera glasses for a head, and across his chest sits a worn leather pouch holding a vintage light meter, a small heart that keeps time.
He’s bold. He’s unapologetic. He’s utterly one of a kind.
Hogbert wasn’t built to blend in. He was built to remind us that bravery doesn’t disappear with age, it just changes shape.
When Andy first began building from scrap, it wasn’t for art collectors or galleries. It was because he needed a reason to keep going, and in that small act of creation, courage was reborn.
That same courage built Weebert’s World, a world made from scrap, imagination and hope.
And maybe that’s the message Hogbert carries best.
Christmas can bring its own kind of pressure. Perfect families. Perfect gifts. Perfect plans. But life rarely runs that smoothly, and that’s where courage steps in.
Sometimes bravery isn’t about standing on a stage or leading a charge. Sometimes it’s about quietly rebuilding when no one else is looking, finding light in the workshop when everything around you feels dark.
That’s what Hogbert represents: second chances, strength, and the spark of starting again.
His copper gleams warm under fairy lights. His mahogany wheel shines like polished chestnut. He’s engineering turned into poetry, a handcrafted reminder that courage can be built from the broken.
For the engineer, bike enthusiast, or chopper lover in your life, there truly is nothing else like him. Each line, lever, and gear has its own history, drawn from the skies, the workshop, and a life spent fixing what others might throw away.
There will only ever be one Hogbert in the world. Once he rides off to his forever home, his seat stays empty forever.
But what he stands for, the courage to rebuild, reinvent and believe again, is something we can all carry.
Because courage doesn’t fade with age. It deepens.
And maybe this Christmas, that’s the message we all need, to live boldly, love fiercely, and keep creating no matter what life throws at us.
When you bring home a Bert, you’re not just owning a sculpture; you’re helping us bring Weebert’s World to life, a stop-motion children’s series built from heart, humour and history.
Every sculpture sold helps fund that mission, to remind children (and grown-ups) that imagination is the start of everything.
So this Christmas, don’t blend in. Dare to live boldly.
🏍 Own a piece of Weebert’s World … built from scrap, powered by heart.
Every unique sculpture sold helps fund our mission to bring Weebert’s World to life on children’s TV, inspiring courage, creativity and curiosity across generations.
