From Scrap to Storefront: Why We’re So Proud to Have The Berts in Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones’ White City Shop
We never imagined we’d see one of Andy’s robot sculptures sitting proudly in a London store. And we definitely never imagined it would be Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones MBE, The Black Farmer himself, who gave it a home.
But last week, that’s exactly what happened.
We took a little tractor-driving scrap-built robot named Wilbert down to White City, London. And we gave him to Wilfred, as a thank-you, a gift from the heart to someone who champions under-represented creatives and gives people like us a chance.
The moment Wilfred saw Wilbert, something shifted. His face lit up. He got it. He saw the story. The craftsmanship. The soul.
But he didn’t just accept the gift.
He gave it pride of place in his White City store, and invited five more of our Berts to join him on display, available for sale to anyone who falls in love with their character and charm.
Yes … we now have six scrap-built Berts in London. And we’re still pinching ourselves.
🎥 The Power of Surprise, Scrap and Storytelling
Wilbert isn’t just any robot sculpture. He’s a tractor-driving Bert, crafted from vintage spanners, old helicopter parts, and years of lived experience in Andy’s hands.
We made him especially for Wilfred. No agenda. No expectation. Just a thank-you, shaped from scrap.
And it worked, because sometimes the most powerful moments aren’t polished or strategic. They’re personal. They’re unexpected. They’re full of heart.
That’s what we try to put into every sculpture and every story we tell through Weebert’s World, whether it’s a one-off robot or a children’s stop-motion adventure.
We believe people don’t fall in love with things because they’re perfect.
They fall in love because something feels real.
🧡 From Kitchen Table to White City
We’re not a household name. We’re just Andy and Lotty, two 60-year-olds from Shropshire. Andy’s a veteran with decades in aviation. I was an army wife and a public sector worker. Now we’re pouring everything we’ve got into Weebert’s World, a children’s stop motion brand that crosses the generations, built on imagination, resilience, and scrap.
We make robot sculptures from discarded parts.
We tell stories that help children (and adults) see the magic in the everyday.
And we’re doing it all from our kitchen table.
So to see our Berts on sale in a London shop, especially one run by someone as inspiring as Wilfred, is more than we ever expected.
We’re so proud. And so grateful.

📹 Want to See the Moment It Happened?
We filmed the moment Andy gifted Wilbert to Wilfred, and we’ve shared it on our YouTube channel.
It’s honest, a bit emotional, and captures exactly what this journey means to us.
If you’ve ever built something from scratch and hoped someone would see the magic in it, this one’s for you.

💡 Why This Matters
In a world of mass-produced everything, there’s something unforgettable about a robot made from nothing but care, scrap, and imagination.
It’s not just what it is.
It’s what it means.
That’s the kind of brand we’re building with Weebert’s World, from the shed to the screen, from sculptures to stories, one Bert at a time.
Thank you, Wilfred, for believing in us.
We’ll never forget it.
