I’ve Already Eaten My Easter Egg – and That’s OK (and Here’s What Else We’re Doing This Weekend)
I’m writing this with chocolate on my fingers and absolutely no regrets.
Because here’s the truth: today is Good Friday, but I’ve already eaten my Easter egg. It didn’t even last the week. And do you know what? I’m giving myself full permission to enjoy it — no guilt attached.
Why? Because this week, like every week, has been full of life, family, feelings… and robots. That’s how we roll at Weebert’s World.
While I’ve been munching chocolate and scribbling down ideas for our next story, Andy’s been out in the workshop building new Berts from scrap. Together we’ve been prepping new content to inspire children and families over the Easter holidays — because what we’re building here is about much more than ticking off a to-do list or racing through the break.
We’re building something that matters.
We’re building a world that celebrates creativity, STEM thinking, reuse and sustainability — all wrapped in story and imagination.
And that’s worth celebrating.
Here’s what we believe this Easter:
1. Messy is marvellous
Creativity is rarely tidy. It comes with glitter, glue, half-drawn plans and the kind of chaos that leaves your kitchen table looking like a craft storm hit it. But that’s part of the magic.
2. Curiosity is the best gift
Forget sugar rushes. The best buzz comes from that moment when a child lights up with an idea. That spark of inspiration can happen at any time — when they’re reading a story, building a robot from cereal boxes, or asking how magnets work.
3. Time together matters most
Whether it’s giggling over a stop-motion short, reading a Weebert story, or building your own Bert from scrap — these shared moments are the ones that stick. Children won’t remember everything they did, but they’ll remember how it made them feel.
Need something fun (and meaningful) to do this Easter weekend?
We’ve got you covered:
🖍️ Printable activity sheets — ideal for getting children off screens and into imaginative play
📚 Free Weebert stories — read together, or let children make up their own endings!
🎬 Stop-motion animations — short, fun, and great for a creative break
It’s all designed to encourage children to play, explore, and create — all while laughing, questioning and seeing the potential in everyday objects.
Because Weebert isn’t just a cute robot. He’s a symbol of what’s possible when imagination leads the way. He’s made from scrap, but full of heart. And he’s sparking early STEM curiosity in a way that feels playful, gentle and fun.

And yes, I’ve already eaten my Easter egg. But I’m also helping build something beautiful. And so are you — every time you share a story, encourage a child to imagine, or smile at a wobbly robot on screen.
So this weekend, let’s give ourselves permission to eat the egg, make a mess, and create something wonderful — even if it starts with an empty Easter egg cardboard box.
Happy Easter from me, Andy, and all The Berts!
