Life has a way of pausing you when you least expect it.
This week, my Dad was taken into hospital. We’re staying hopeful, but moments like this bring everything into sharp focus. The emails can wait. The to-do list isn’t going anywhere. But the people we love? They are everything.
It’s made me reflect on why we’re building Weebert’s World in the first place.
It’s not about algorithms or pitches or even getting the perfect animation frame. It’s about family. About creating something that connects generations—grandparents, children, parents—with stories that matter and characters made from love, scrap, and a spark of imagination.
This project began from a place of healing. And now, every story we write, every Bert Andy sculpts, every stop motion frame we create is our way of saying: imagination matters, connection matters, childhood matters.
Weebert was built from scrap, but he represents something strong—and so do we. I’ve got a bit of Yorkshire grit in me, passed down from my Dad, and even in hard moments like this, I won’t give up on the dream of seeing Weebert’s World on TV, inspiring the next generation of dreamers, makers, and thinkers.
So if you’re reading this—go give someone you love a hug, a call, a message. Today’s a good day to remind them.
