Monday Motivation: Smile Before 11:16 (If You Can!)

Apparently, most people don’t smile on a Monday until 11:16am. That made me laugh—ironically before 11:16—so maybe I’m ahead of the curve already.

Let’s be honest, Mondays can feel like a bit of a rollercoaster. The to-do list looks like an ancient scroll, the coffee’s already been microwaved twice, and my brain is still stuck somewhere between Sunday roast and the laundry pile.

But here’s the thing: Mondays don’t need to be flawless. They just need a little momentum.

Running Weebert’s World has taught me that. It’s been built one tiny, slightly wobbly step at a time. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s more than okay—it’s how real life works. So today I’m sharing a few little things that help me reset and refocus when Monday feels like too much:

5 Ways to Start Your Monday Without Losing It:

✨ Pick One Priority
Start simple. What’s the one thing that would make today feel like a win? Do that first.

⏱ Set a 10-Minute Timer
Just start. Give yourself ten minutes to do something. It’s amazing how often those ten minutes lead to twenty.

✅ Done is Better Than Perfect
Seriously. Send the email. Post the video. Hit publish. Perfect can wait.

🎉 Celebrate Small Wins
You got dressed? That counts. Emptied the dishwasher? Victory.

🔧 Find Magic in the Messy
Weebert was made from scrap—bits of broken things no one wanted. And now he’s the heart of a whole world. There’s magic in starting small, in making something out of nothing, and in trusting that you don’t need all the answers to begin.

So whether you’re in your PJs, dodging Lego bricks, answering emails with toast in hand, or quietly willing yourself to get back on track—you’re doing better than you think.

If you need a spark of creativity, a smile before 11:16, or just a moment to breathe and imagine, head over to weebertsworld.com. There are free stories and printable activity sheets waiting for you (and the little dreamers in your life).

Here’s to starting scrappy, not perfect.
