Patiently Waiting for the Algorithm… and Finding Our People Instead

I’ll be honest,  I don’t always know what I’m doing when it comes to algorithms, reach, or reels. What even is an algorithm?
But I do know who we’re here for.

If you’re a parent, grandparent or carer of a child aged 4 to 7…
If you’re trying to raise kind, curious, imaginative little humans…
If you want them to play, explore, imagine and create, instead of staring at screens all day…
And if you try to make thoughtful choices, reuse what you can, and teach your children to care about the planet 🌱 Then hello. We’ve been waiting for you.

Welcome to Weebert’s World.

It all started with scrap

Two years ago, my husband Andy built a little robot from scrap. We called him Justbert,  and he was made from bits most people would throw away.
Andy is a veteran, and he began making the Berts to support his mental well-being,  tinkering away quietly in the garage with old tools, scrap parts from helicopters, and whatever he could find.

Then he made Weebert,  no bigger than a can of beans, built from a Cold War spy camera, vintage opera glasses and some copper wire.
He put him on the shelf. I looked at him… and started writing stories.

And just like that, Weebert’s World was born.

From one robot to a whole world of play

It started with a story.
Now we take our scrap-built robot characters,  The Berts, into primary schools across the UK. We read the stories. We show the children the actual robots from the books.
And something magical happens.

Children light up. They point. They ask questions.
And over and over again, we hear:
💬 “We love Weebert!”

They see that something brilliant can be made from something broken.
They start building their own robots from bottle tops and string.
They begin to imagine.

And isn’t that what we want?

Weebert’s World is more than just a children’s story. It’s a growing, handmade world of stop-motion animation, soft toys, books, games, and Bert-themed play,  all designed to give children permission to be curious, creative, and joyful.

A world full of imagination and possibilities

So no, I’m not here to crack the algorithm (though I’ll keep trying!).
I’m here for you, the thoughtful grown-up who values storytelling, sustainability, and that spark in a child’s eye when they create something all by themselves.

I’m here for people who want their children to grow up believing they can invent, explore, and make their own kind of magic.

Everything we build at Weebert’s World, from Andy’s robot sculptures to our stories, school visits, cuddly Berts and future TV dreams, is rooted in one thing:
💛 The belief that imagination matters.

We’re not shiny. We’re not slick.
But we’re full of heart, full of scrap-built stories, and we love sharing them with families like yours.

Want to follow along?

We’d love you to join us on this adventure.
Whether it’s a playdough moustache moment with the grandkids, a storybook read under the duvet, or a scribbly robot drawing on the kitchen table, you’re our kind of person.

So if you’ve just stumbled across us through a reel, a blog, or a friend, we’re so glad you’re here.
Stick around. Share us with someone who’d love Weebert.
And if your little one says, “We love Weebert!”  send us a message. We love hearing from you.

Because this is how we build something beautiful.
Not from algorithms.
But from connection.
From play.
And from a little robot made out of scrap.
