Still Thankful, Still Dreaming
This week has shifted my perspective in all the best ways.
Dad is recovering after his operation and feeling positive, calling this “the first day of the rest of his life.” That phrase has really stuck with me. It reminds me that no matter what yesterday looked like — we get to begin again.
I’m still walking around with a full heart, thankful for the NHS team who cared for him so brilliantly, and thankful that he’s here, still encouraging, and still quietly cheering me on.
And in moments like this, I find myself asking those deeper questions — why am I working so hard on Weebert’s World? Why not just slow down and enjoy family life now?
But the truth is… I am doing this for family.
For mine. For yours. For children everywhere who just need that one spark of creativity to realise what they’re capable of.
I was the child who was told I had “too much imagination.” Now I’m the woman building a business around imagination — and showing it’s not fluff. It’s power. It’s potential. It’s purpose.
And watching my dad start this new chapter, I realise I’m doing the same in a way. Starting again. Reaffirming my purpose. Pushing forward with a little Yorkshire grit and a big dream to see Weebert’s World on screens, in homes, and in the hearts of families across the country.
Because when you know your why, even the hardest days become fuel.
Today, I’m still thankful. Still dreaming. Still building.
And I know Dad’s proud. That matters more than anything.
