Here at Weebert’s World at We Are Bert Ltd, we’re all about unexpected adventures—whether it’s turning scrap into beautiful scrap art robot sculptures or working on our dream of bringing Weebert’s World to life. But nothing could have prepared us for the latest surprise in our journey: a feature on BBC Radio Shropshire! 🎙️
Last week, completely out of the blue, we received a call inviting us to an interview with the wonderful Ellen Knight to talk about our business and our incredible honour of being in the final 3 for the Soldiering On Awards. We were stunned, to say the least!
The interview, which aired on Monday, October 7th, was an amazing opportunity for us to share our passion for turning scrap materials into unique robot sculptures and discuss our exciting vision for Weebert’s World—our project to inspire children through creativity, imagination, and environmental stewardship. Sophie was so warm and welcoming that she put us completely at ease. We talked about how we started out, the ups and downs along the way, and what it means to be recognised in the Soldiering On Awards.
For those who missed it, you can listen to the full interview on BBC Sounds by following this link. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity, as it allowed us to highlight not only our artwork but also our mission to spark imagination in both children and adults alike.
Being featured on BBC Radio Shropshire feels like a dream come true for us. It’s a reminder that no matter how unexpected or humble your beginnings, with passion and creativity, anything is possible!
We hope our story inspires others to take their own creative journeys, and we can’t wait to see what happens next as we continue to build Weebert’s World and grow We Are Bert Ltd.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far—whether it’s through buying one of our handcrafted sculptures, buying our children’s story Weebert has an Adventure, following our journey, or simply believing in what we’re doing. If you’d like to do more! Then subscribe to Weebert’s very own YouTube channel weebertsworld It’s free! And it will help us show investors that we have support for our idea for a children’s stop motion tv programme with Weebert and The Berts. This interview is for all of you who follow or yet to follow! 💛
Stay tuned for more exciting updates, and don’t forget to give the interview a listen!
