The other day, someone left a comment on one of our LinkedIn posts that stopped me in my tracks.
“So much admiration and respect to you and Andy from so many of the army aviation community. Keep that creativity burning bright.”
It brought a tear to my eye. 🥲
Not because of the praise, although that was lovely.
But because it reminded me of something I’ve been feeling quietly for a while:
That what we’re really building with Weebert’s World… is community. 🫶
And I realised, that’s what we’ve missed the most.
Andy served in the army for 27 years, and I was there for all of it.
As a military wife, I learnt early on what it meant to be part of a true community.
It wasn’t just questionable housing or mess dinners or kids playing together behind the quarters.
It was showing up when someone’s partner was deployed.
It was running errands for each other when one of us had the car.
It was people who got it, no long explanations needed.
You learned to rely on one another. You knew someone had your back. 🤝
That’s what community felt like. It was woven into daily life. 🧶
When Andy left the army 16 years ago, life didn’t fall quiet.
He went into civil aviation 🚁 and I worked in the public sector 🗂️.
We had children, bills, routines, responsibilities, and for years, we kept going.
We didn’t talk much about community. We were busy. Functional.
But when we started building Weebert’s World, something stirred. ⚙️
We realised just how much we’d missed that feeling, the deep, reassuring sense of belonging.
Not just friendship. Not just connection.
But the knowledge that someone else cares whether or not you keep going, and wants to help you do it.
That’s why that LinkedIn comment meant so much.
Not because it praised our work, though we are proud of it, but because it reminded us that people are watching.
That our past still walks beside us.
That the values we built our life around, loyalty, creativity, imagination, service, still show up in everything we’re building now.
Weebert’s World isn’t just about robots made from scrap. 🤖
It’s about:

– Giving children permission to play 🧒🎨
– Helping families connect 💬
– Reminding grown-ups it’s never too late to dream 🌟
– And doing it all in the company of others 👥
We’re growing something much bigger than a product.
We’re growing a place where kindness, imagination and encouragement matter.
