🎮 What If Weebert’s World Were a Game? Build Your Own Robot, Go on Scrap-Fuelled Adventures and Spark a Love of STEM
Here at Weebert’s World, we often ask ourselves big, playful questions, because children do too.
They’re natural “what if” thinkers.
What if sheep could fly?
What if a robot had sandwich toaster legs?
So we lean into that spirit and ask our own.
This week’s was a cracker:
👉 What if Weebert’s World were a video game?
No, we’re not building one (yet!).
There’s no development studio, no trailer drop, and no launch event at the Scrapheap Stadium.
But just like all great ideas in Weebert’s World, this one started with a “What if?”
And oh, the fun we had imagining…
🧰 Game Concept 1: Build Your Own Bert
At the heart of Weebert’s World is one beautiful idea:
You can make something amazing from almost nothing.
So in our dream game, you’d collect bits of scrap, proper, story-rich stuff:
-
🛠️ Clock springs
-
✈️ Helicopter handles
-
🎧 Opera glasses
-
🔩 Meccano wheels
-
🧲 Magnet boots
Each part unlocks new features, functions, or silliness.
The more inventive your combinations, the more unique your Bert becomes.
Want a Bert with toaster feet and copper-wire hair?
One with a camera head and a coat made of colanders?
Yes please. You’d design it, build it, and name it too.
✈️ Game Concept 2: Sky Missions
Once your Bert is ready, it’s time to fly.
In this adventure mode, you pilot a custom flying contraption, think bathtub wings and balloon boosters, through a world of floating scrap islands.
You’d:
-
Collect mid-air parts ✨
-
Dodge falling clock cogs 🕰️
-
Use power-ups from Barbara the flying sheep 🐑
-
Repair sky bridges with scrap bolts 🔧
A full-blown Bert-built adventure.
🐏 Game Concept 3: Gordon’s Boss Level
Every great game has a boss level, right?
Ours stars Gordon the Grumpy Ram.
He guards the garden gate and lets no one pass… unless they prove themselves worthy (or offer up carrot cake, or some good old-fashioned flattery).
This level would test your problem-solving skills and get a few giggles in too.
🌱 More Missions We Love:
🍰 Bakery Mayhem – help the Bakerbert twins chase down a robot cake that’s gone rogue.
🌿 Rocket Garden – work with Digbert to grow vegetables that double as flying machines.
🧼 Fix-it Quest – help The Maker find rare scrap to restore the Workshop Tower.
💡 Why This Game Idea Matters
Weebert’s World has always been about more than entertainment.
It’s a place where imagination meets engineering, where children are encouraged to create, explore, and build, not just follow.
A game like this wouldn’t just be fun.
It would:
-
Inspire creative play
-
Spark interest in STEM subjects
-
Help kids see scrap as opportunity, not waste
-
Celebrate making, tinkering, and inventing
Weebert’s World is already a platform for imaginative storytelling.
One day, it might become a playground too, digital or otherwise.
🎮 What Would YOUR Weebert’s World Game Look Like?
If you were designing a Weebert’s World game:
-
What would your Bert look like?
-
What scrap would you collect?
-
Which character would give you your first quest?
💬 email your ideas to contact@weebertsworld.com

Because sometimes, the best game design starts with a crayon sketch, a spark of play, and a story built from scrap.
