When did gentle become something people apologise for?
It’s something I’ve been thinking about as we reach 12 sleeps until our Christmas story How the Berts Saved Christmas goes live.
So many children grow up being told to “be braver,” “be louder,” or “speak up.”
But what if their gentleness is their bravery?
This question sits right at the heart of Tweebert.
Last week, Andy and I shared some of the Berts he created during his breakdown, Hallibert, Bertoline and Hogbert.
These are the Berts that help fund our mission.
Each one unique.
Each one a piece of history.
Each one created from a moment of pain turned into purpose.
But this week is about the Berts who will never be sold, because they’re not just part of Weebert’s World.
They’re part of our story.
Part of our healing.
Our family.
Tweebert was born from the desire to show children that courage doesn’t look the same on everyone.
Some children roar.
Some whisper.
Some leap.
Some edge forward one curious step at a time.
Tweebert is gentle. Thoughtful. Intelligent. Kind.
She notices things others miss.
She cares deeply.
She explores the world not by pushing harder, but by looking closer.
And children see themselves in her.
You can almost feel the sigh of relief when they realise:
“Oh. I don’t have to be loud to be brave.”
Adults often feel that too.
In leadership, creativity, parenting, teamwork, gentleness is often misunderstood as a lack of confidence or drive.
But in reality:
✨ Softness is not a flaw, it’s strength held carefully
✨ Curiosity is courage in disguise
✨ Feeling deeply is a superpower
✨ Gentle people change the world quietly
✨ And every brave step starts with “What if…?”
These principles are woven through all of Weebert’s World.
And they matter particularly at Christmas.
Everything gets louder at this time of year, the shops, the calendars, the emotions, the expectations.
Children feel it too.
Some thrive.
Some overstimulate.
Some retreat.
Some freeze.
Tweebert gives them a gentle way through.
She doesn’t shout.
She doesn’t demand.
She simply notices, pauses, and chooses curiosity.
And that’s what she brings into our Christmas story.
In 12 sleeps, you’ll see all the Berts, Weebert, Tweebert, Wheelybert, Hubert, Albert and more, working together as a team to help Santa. Not because they are perfect.
Not because they are loud.
But because each one brings something different, and all of them are needed.
Tweebert’s gift is her gentleness.
Her steady heart.
Her curiosity.
Her ability to look at a challenge and whisper, “What if we try?”
And perhaps the world needs a little more of that this Christmas.
A little more soft courage.
A little more gentle leadership.
A little more noticing.
Because gentleness isn’t something to apologise for.
It’s something to grow from.
✨ How the Berts Saved Christmas … launching in 12 sleeps.
Free for every family.
Made with heart from our kitchen table.
with love
