Reberto: How a Scrap Robot Becomes a Story About Sustainability
At Weebert’s World, we’ve always believed that every piece of scrap has a story, and that story can spark something much bigger than we ever imagined.
When Andy first created Reberto, he wasn’t just making another scrap-built sculpture. He was creating the beginning of a partnership, a conversation, and a spark for future generations.
Reberto has been crafted for our pitch to a company leading the way in sustainability, a company that’s empowering sustainable solutions for a greener future. They’re experts in waste, water, and energy solutions, but more than that, they’re passionate innovators, dedicated to achieving a circular economy for future generations.
That shared purpose is what inspired Reberto.
We imagine him not only as a sculpture but as a character who can live on through stories, adventures, and hands-on experiences for children and families. A cuddly Reberto that children can hold close. A Reberto colouring page that invites them to create their own ideas about recycling and reusing. And, of course, a series of Reberto adventure stories that make sustainability exciting and fun.
Because for us, the sculpture is just the start. It’s where imagination begins to meet purpose.
Through Weebert’s World, we want to help children (and their grown-ups!) see that sustainability isn’t just about sorting waste or saving water. It’s about creativity, curiosity, and caring for the world we live in. It’s about reimagining what we already have and finding beauty in what others might throw away.
Andy’s scrap-built robots began as a form of recovery, a way to rebuild through creativity. Over time, those sculptures became characters. Those characters became stories. And those stories are now shaping how we think about inspiring children to play, imagine, and create with purpose.
Reberto’s story is still being written, but his mission is clear: to show that even from scrap, something meaningful can grow.
As we pitch for collaboration, we’re excited about the potential for Reberto and Weebert’s World to play a small part in a much bigger picture, one that’s about decarbonising, depolluting, and resourcing the world through the power of imagination.
Because change starts with a spark. And sometimes, that spark looks a little like a scrap-built robot with a big heart.
💚 Join us in inspiring the next generation to recycle, reimagine, and re-love the world around them … one story at a time.
with love
